Set Alarm

Set an alarm for the exact time you need

This page is a quick way to set an alarm for a specific clock time. Instead of spinning dials, you pick a ready-made time from the grid above and the alarm is armed at once. Each time also has its own page you can bookmark, so opening the link tomorrow sets the same alarm again.

The fastest way to arm an alarm

  1. Find your time in the grid, laid out from midnight to 11:45 PM in quarter-hour steps.
  2. Click it once. The alarm is set and a countdown starts straight away.
  3. Bookmark the page if it is a time you use often, such as a daily wake-up.

Common wake-up times people set

Early mornings are by far the busiest. Here is roughly how popular the main wake-up times are with people setting a morning alarm:

5:00 AM — early shift, gym
6:00 AM — work morning
6:30 AM — school run
7:00 AM — relaxed start
8:00 AM — later start

A rough guide to how often each morning time is chosen — 6:30 AM is the most popular single wake-up time.

Tip: Set your alarm 10 minutes earlier than you think you need. That small buffer covers a snooze and still gets you moving on time.

AM and PM without the mix-up

The 12-hour clock trips people up around noon and midnight. 12:00 AM is midnight, the start of the day. 12:00 PM is noon, the middle of the day. When in doubt, check the countdown: if it says more than 12 hours for a morning alarm, you probably picked PM by mistake.

Turn an alarm time into a bookmark

Every preset time, like 6:30 AM, lives at its own web address. Save that address to your browser favourites or your phone home screen. The next time you open it, the alarm is already set to that time — no clicks needed. It is the quickest daily alarm you can make without an app.

Setting an alarm — common questions

What is the difference between this and the main alarm clock?

The alarm clock home page lets you dial any hour and minute by hand. This page is a shortcut for common times: click one and it is set. Both use the same alarm underneath.

Does the alarm remember my time if I come back later?

Each preset time has its own link. Bookmark it and the alarm is set to that time whenever you open the link, even on a different day.

Can I change the sound on a preset alarm?

Yes. After the time is set, open the edit panel to pick a different sound, add a message or loop the sound until you turn it off.
